Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist/Recruiter in our Columbus, Ohio location. This is a dual‑role position responsible for supporting day‑to‑day human resources operations and leading recruitment efforts across the organization. This role supports a broad range of HR responsibilities including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and talent acquisition as well as projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized professional who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
HR Generalist Functions
  • Administers HR policies/procedures and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Supports employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters and recommends appropriate actions in response to performance and conduct issues.
  • Maintains records and generates reports as needed.
  • Coordinates training sessions and supports organizational development initiatives.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Manages the full‑cycle recruitment process for exempt personnel, including marketing, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and hiring of salaried personnel.
  • Partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, collaborate on requirements, and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Manages candidate communications and ensures a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintains and optimizes the applicant tracking system (ATS) including the generation of status reports.
  • Supports evolution of internship program and helps to build a talent pipeline.
  • Strengthens employer branding and recruitment/marketing initiatives, especially in the digital space.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR and/or recruitment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools and techniques.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/ATS platforms.
  • SHRM‑CP or PHR certification is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience in both office and factory environments.
  • Required to follow Allied Mineral Products’ Safety & Health policy and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate.
