HR Generalist (Hybrid Remote)

Salary: $75K

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, interviews, background checks, offer coordination, and new hire orientation
  • Manage offboarding activities, ensuring a smooth and compliant exit process
  • Act as a key HR contact for employee inquiries, performance review support (via PerformYard), and policy guidance
  • Support employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Coordinate service awards, recognition programs, and RRSP eligibility tracking
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date HR records, including employee files and HRIS data
  • Assist in policy development, communication, and compliance
  • Contribute to annual compensation reviews and manage Total Rewards statement preparation and distribution
  • Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries during enrolment and life events
  • Help drive employee engagement, wellness initiatives, internal campaigns, and staff appreciation events
  • Actively participate in the firm’s social committee, including event planning and vendor coordination
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team and act as backup to the HR Manager as needed
Qualifications
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field required
  • CHRP/CHRL designation or working towards certification
  • 3+ years of related experience, with specific experience in conducting full‑cycle recruitment and selection
  • Solid knowledge of Human Resources best practices, policies, procedures and employment‑related legislation such as the Ontario Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP WorkForce Now)
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of mail merge
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and use discretion with highly confidential material
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
