Position Overview

FXR Racing is seeking a passionate and experienced HR Generalist to join our growing company. The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the full range of human resources functions, including employee relations, performance management, training and compliance across our global organization. Based in Oak Bluff, Manitoba, this role will work across multiple regions to support people strategies that align with business goals, foster a positive and inclusive, and high performing workplace culture.

The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices. You have a natural curiosity and eagerness to grow, demonstrated strong relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization, and an authentic passion for the powersports and outdoor industries.

What you’ll do
  • Provide guidance, support and make recommendations on day-to-day HR matters such as HR policies, employment standards, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Coordinate the talent acquisition initiatives through full cycle recruitment activities across retail, warehouse and office environments, finding top talent to join our teams.
  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new employees to ensure a smooth welcome to the organization.
    Coach leaders and employees through difficult conversations / situations.
  • Assist leaders and employees through regulated leaves, accommodations, WCB claims and return to work programs.
    Advise on employment legislation, policies, and best practices, keeping up to date on changes within our regions, providing innovative and new alternatives to processes/procedures and initiatives.
  • Champion the company’s Health and Safety program, driving initiatives that promote employee well‑being and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for employees and leaders, fostering a high‑performing culture of inclusivity, collaboration, accountability and employee well‑being.
  • Support other HR initiatives such as compensation and benefits, retention strategies, policy updates, employee engagement initiatives and events.
What you bring to the team:

As the ideal candidate, you have 3-5 years experience of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role, and are working towards or have your CPHR designation. You are solutions focused with a can‑do attitude, looking for innovative and creative ways to support HR initiatives. You enjoy being hands on, have excellent decision‑making capabilities and strong interpersonal skills.

You’re organized, can work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. You are resourceful and curious, ensuring you’re guiding practices and processes within the employment laws of the jurisdictions you’re working in, with experience across interprovincial and international borders considered a bonus. Passion for the outdoors and powersports industry is considered an asset.

This position will involve travel between our store, warehouse and office in Winnipeg. There will also be travel within North America, having a valid driver’s license and passport is required.
