Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all things HR, from onboarding to offboarding
  • Administer and coordinate employee benefits
  • Develop and implement programs for company culture fostering, including rewards and recognition initiatives
  • Manage WSIB processes and collaborate with the health and safety committee
  • Review and revise all HR policies and regulations, including the employee handbook
  • Manage employee relations, including day-to-day interactions and progressive discipline processes
  • Perform general office administration tasks, including maintaining shared documents and files
  • Define and establish the structure, vision, and processes for the new HR department
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience as HR Generalist
  • Welcoming, approachable, organized, intuitive, and confident demeanor
  • Ability to articulate well, remain steadfast under pressure, and demonstrate flexibility in approach
  • Strong ability to build trust and relate effectively to employees
  • Willingness to work 100% in-office
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to other company locations
  • Experience with an HRIS rollout is a plus
  • Exposure to U.S. labor policies and practices is beneficial but not required
