Overview

Our client, a leading cosmetics manufacturer in Markham, is looking for an HR Coordinator to join their team.

Job Details

Job Type: Contract

Work Schedule: 5 days a week (8:30am to 4:30pm), with one early start (5:00am to 1:00pm) per week; Contract ends by the end of Feb 2026.

Pay rate: $23/hr

Responsibilities
  • Onboarding tasks (new hire orientations)
  • Respond to general employee inquiries (in person, email, or phone) in a timely manner; support HRBP Generalists with resolution of employee concerns
  • Support transactional requests (inputting) into One Source HR system
  • Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization (Shop floor employees, Managers)
  • Ability to handle and follow through on ad hoc requests
  • Supporting the HR team with fostering a culture of positive employee relations and engagement.
  • Generating HR metrics to identify trends and support workforce planning.
  • Supporting the HR department administratively as required.
Qualifications
  • Manufacturing/Distribution experience preferred
  • A proactive, go-getter attitude with the ability to navigate a production floor
  • Strong Excel skills, as the role will involve reporting and working with large data sets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills a must.
  • High learning agility, strong capability for problem-solving, data analytic & decision making and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting tact, good judgment, diplomacy and flexibility.
  • Criminal background check is required
