Job summary

Takeda Canada Inc. seeks a strategic HR Business Leader for Canada to partner with executive leaders, shape people and culture, and drive talent and organizational strategy across the country.

You will guide workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational transformation while fostering a high‑performing, inclusive culture and leading digital HR initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Extensive senior HR leadership experience partnering with executive leaders in complex, multinational organizations.
  • Proven expertise in organizational design, talent strategy, succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational transformation.
  • Strong experience leading large‑scale change management initiatives and helping leaders navigate ambiguity and transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and inspire senior leaders while building high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement people strategies that enable business growth and organizational effectiveness across Canada.
  • Partner with senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and critical talent decisions.
  • Lead organizational transformation and change management initiatives with successful adoption of new ways of working.

  • Represent HR in Canada leadership forums and cross‑functional business discussions to influence strategic decisions.
  • Build and strengthen the Canadian HR Community of Practice and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Partner with People Solutions and People, Labor & Relations teams to deliver an outstanding employee experience.

About the role

As the HR Business Leader, Canada: you will be the strategic HR partner to business leaders across Canada, shaping the people, culture, and organizational agenda that enables sustainable business growth. You will drive workforce and talent strategies, lead organizational transformation, and foster a high‑performing, future‑ready organization while ensuring a consistent HR approach across Canada.

How you contribute

  • Champion innovation, digital HR solutions, and continuous improvement to enhance organizational effectiveness and business performance.

Base Salary Range

$208,000.00 - $286,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
