Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive HR leadership and support throughout the employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Partner with leaders and employees to drive engagement, performance, and development.
  • Manage employee relations matters with discretion and fairness, ensuring compliance with applicable employment legislation.
  • Collaborate and execute in the areas compensation, benefits, leaves, and HR policy initiatives.
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent, supporting hiring managers across departments.
  • Maintain HR systems and reporting; ensure accurate data and analytics for decision-making.
  • Stay current on employment law trends and HR best practices, particularly within Alberta and British Columbia.
  • Support the rollout of HR programs and initiatives that strengthen culture, productivity, and retention.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation within HR processes and employee experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR leadership experience; experience in Alberta and/or British Columbia strongly preferred.
  • Formal HR certification, or equivalent an assets
  • Strong understanding of provincial and federal employment laws and HR best practices ideally with exposure to healthcare or complex, multi-site environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills; high emotional intelligence.
