Job summary

English River Inn in Ignace, Ontario, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our cleaning team and uphold high standards of cleanliness.

You will supervise light duty cleaners, inspect facilities, and coordinate schedules and inventory. This role offers 30–40 hours per week at CAD 27 per hour, with potential for additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 7 months.
• Education: Tourism Operational Management - Diploma in Tourism.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and co-ordinate the work of light duty, specialized cleaners and janitors.
• Inspect facilities to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met.
• Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• May hire and train cleaning staff.
• Prepare work schedule and co-ordinate activities with other workers.
• Coordinate with management to Prepare cleaning budget, estimate costs and keep financial records.
• Order cleaning inventory and keep record of receipts.
• May perform certain cleaning duties.
