Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences in Surrey is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a dedicated team and oversee cleaning routines for resident suites and common areas. You will manage supplies and ensure services align with budget while delivering exceptional resident experiences.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent is required.
• Previous supervisory housekeeping experience including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to lead by example.
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Comfort with basic operational systems and computer use.
• WHMIS, First Aid & CPR, and Occupational Health & Safety certification are assets.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor at Chartwell, you’ll lead a team that ensures our residence is a place residents are proud to call home. You’ll oversee cleaning schedules, supplies, and team performance while delivering excellent service to residents, families, and visitors.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor supplies and source quality products while staying within budget
• Respond to resident and family concerns, escalating as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and confidentiality standards
• Participate in the Resident Council and support team collaboration
• Provide regular feedback to the General Manager on service quality and resident satisfaction

What You’ll Bring

• Secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required
