Job summary

Rimrock Banff is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to uphold high standards of cleanliness and guest experience across guest rooms and public areas. You will supervise, train, and support the housekeeping team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time in a structured environment.

You will lead routine operations, coordinate with Engineering for repairs, and maintain safety and sanitation standards while fostering a cohesive, professional team culture at Rimrock Banff.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or hotels.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, procedures, and quality expectations.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to consistency and accuracy.
  • Ability to lead calmly in a structured, task-focused environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Housekeeping team during assigned shifts and guide daily operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and service standards are met.
  • Provide training and coaching to team members for consistent performance.
  • Identify maintenance issues and coordinate with Engineering for timely repairs.
  • Ensure procedures and checklists are followed and shift records are maintained.

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you play a key role in upholding the Rimrock’s standards of cleanliness, consistency, and care across guest rooms and public areas. You provide steady, knowledgeable supervision on the floor, ensuring daily operations run smoothly, tasks are completed accurately, and standards are met,every time.

What You'll Be Doing

Floor Supervision & Daily Operations

  • Supervise the Housekeeping teamduring assigned shifts.
  • Assign daily duties and ensure tasks are completed accurately, thoroughly, and within establishedtimeframes.
  • Monitor workflow throughout the shift, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
  • Provide coverage for Housekeeping Dispatch during their absence, including performing essential dispatch and coordination duties as required.

Quality Assurance & Inspections

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and service standards are met.
  • Identifydeficiencies,providecorrective guidance, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Ensure work is completed with care, accuracy, and attention to detail, leaving nothing to chance.

Training & Team Support

  • Provide structured training, coaching, and guidance to new and existing team members.
  • Reinforce standard operating procedures, cleaning methods, and safety protocols.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for the team, supporting skill development and consistent performance.
  • Foster a professional, respectful, and cooperative work environment.

Safety, Maintenance & Reporting

  • Identify, document, and report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering team to supporttimelyresolution of repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standardsat all times.
  • Promote proper use, handling, and storage of equipment and chemicals.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure established procedures, checklists, and workflows are followed precisely.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords, logs, and shift documentation asrequired.
  • Support departmental goals by ensuring daily operations are completed efficiently and error-free.
  • Provide steady leadership during routine operations and unexpected situations alike.
Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Previousexperience in housekeeping or hotels

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Lifting, carrying, or moving supplies and equipment (up to 30lbs).
  • Visual acuityrequiredfor detailed inspections and quality checks.
  • Ability to remain focused and attentive in a structured, routine-based environment.

Visa Requirements:Must be legallyauthorizedto work in Canada. The hotel is unable toassistcandidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
