Overview

Housekeeping Manager Job Summary: Seeking a professional housekeeping manager to perform a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and supervisory duties. Duties include vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, bathroom services, and linen changing. Training and overseeing staff is required. The right person is reliable, punctual, thorough, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, bathroom services, and changing linens.
  • Train and supervise housekeeping staff; delegate tasks and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Prepare quotes for clients by typing up job notes using the standardized template; update notes as required and edit the notes template if needed.
  • Add client information to our software system and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate initial cleans and train staff for regular jobs after the initial clean is completed.
  • Check in on staff at various jobs throughout the day; provide ongoing training and ensure quality of cleans.
  • Order supplies and manage equipment; assemble cleaning kits for new staff.
  • Assist with customer complaints and respond to staff questions and needs during the day.
Cleaner Duties and Responsibilities
  • Dust and clean surface areas, countertops, and furniture.
  • Sweep, scrub, and mop hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors; operate vacuuming equipment and clean carpets; perform shampooing or stain removal as needed.
  • Dispose of trash from bins and containers; polish furniture and room accessories as needed.
  • Scrub sinks, basins, and toilets in private and public bathrooms; clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
  • Change linens and do laundry; report repairs and replacements needed when encountered.
  • Enter client information into the software system and update outdated job notes.
  • Assist with initial cleans and delegate tasks to the team; order supplies; assist with customer complaints.
Qualifications
  • Ability to follow verbal directions; ability to work well alone or with a partner or team.
  • Management experience; reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism.
  • Organized with strong time management and attention to detail; able to follow a schedule and adapt to changing routines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; or relevant experience, or knowledge, skills, and mental ability equivalent to 2 years of high school education.
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk; stand for long periods; push a vacuum cleaner; and lift 25–30 pounds.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred; training will be provided.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license; criminal record check may be required.
