Qualifications:

  • To be a meticulous person in your habits
  • Commercial housekeeping and laundry experience
  • Long Term Care (LTC) experience an asset
Duties:
  • Residents’ needs are your primary concern
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the home
  • Assist with residents’ laundry
  • Follow a cleaning and laundry schedule for the entire building – routine In regards to health and safety, the following pertains to the position:
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the regulations contained within it.
  • Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that the worker’s employer requires to be used or worn.
  • Report to his or her employer or supervisor the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger himself, herself or another worker.
  • Report to his or her employer or supervisor any contravention of this Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which he or she knows.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.
