Job summary

AgeCare in Ontario's Hamilton area is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary Long-Term Care residence for residents, visitors and staff.

The role performs a variety of housekeeping duties, including cleaning floors, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and arranging furniture, with daily routines and opportunities to contribute to a comfortable living environment.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• A minimum of public-school education is required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, activity areas, offices, hallways, stairwells, and other areas as directed.
• Cleans, mops, waxes, and polishes floors. Operates a floor machine to buff dining room, bedroom, lounge, corridor, and office floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Arranges furniture in an orderly fashion.
• Cleans and disinfects sinks, toilets, urinals, and telephones daily.

The Opportunity

The Housekeeper performs a variety of housekeeping duties to ensure that the Long-Term Care residence is maintained in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition for residents, visitors, and other staff members.
