Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Housekeeping Aide for the Long Term Care team at The Cascades. In a fast-paced setting, you will provide thorough cleaning and sanitizing of residents' rooms and common areas, while contributing to a welcoming, respectful environment for residents.

You will work to ensure privacy, prepare rooms for new residents, and collaborate with a team that values diversity and inclusion. A secondary school education and the ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduate or approved equivalent.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must successfully pass Criminal Records Check (Applicable to British Columbia).

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Long Term Care team at Community, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed

1. Provide Thorough Cleaning
   • Provide excellent cleaning and sanitizing of the residents’ rooms as well as the common areas in the community
   • Ensure the supplies are suitable and the equipment is in proper working order
   • Deliver the cleaning in a positive and professional manner
2. Provide Resident Privacy and Room Preparation
   • Ensure residents' privacy is respected
   • Prepare rooms for new Residents ensuring they are clean, sanitized, and welcoming

Who You are:

• Secondary school graduate or approved equivalent

Wage Leveling rate of pay $25.82 per hour until such time that wage leveling ends, then the pay rate will reflect the collective agreement pay rates.
