Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in Medicine Hat, AB is seeking a casual housekeeping team member to maintain clean and safe living spaces for residents. Under general supervision, you will clean resident rooms, restrooms, kitchens and related areas during morning shifts.

You will participate in team meetings, support department improvements, and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Requirements include Grade 10 or equivalent, a Building Service Worker certificate preferred,

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent education.
• A Building Service Worker certificate is preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or other institutional facility is desirable.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lb.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy and dynamic environment.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing routines.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of resident rooms, restrooms, utility rooms, kitchens and other related duties.
• Participate in team meetings and assignments.
• Recommend changes and improvements for the department.
• Assist other employees as required.

You will also participates in team meetings and assignments, recommend changes and improvements for the department and assist other employees as required.

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent education. A Building Service Worker certificate is preferred. Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or other institutional facility is desirable. Requirements

• A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
• A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
