Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Housekeeper to help maintain a clean and orderly facility. You will perform light cleaning duties in line with health and safety guidelines and support the smooth operation of the establishment.

The role requires prior housekeeping experience (asset in healthcare, hotel or commercial cleaning), strong time management and organizational skills, good English communication, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including lifting up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, hotel, or commercial cleaning is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage heavy workload.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect areas such as washrooms, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors, and mirrors.
• Damp mop hard floors and perform auto scrubs as needed.
• Check all primary areas, lobbies, stairs, and clean as required.
• Vacuum carpeted areas as needed.
• Remove all garbage from common areas.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and personnel information.
• Maintain a safe environment and use wet floor signs.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards to supervisor.
• Respond to emergency cleanups as required.

How you will make an impact:You will be responsible for performing light cleaning duties that maintain the establishment in a clean and orderly manner.

As a Housekeeper, you will:

• Clean and disinfect areas and items such as washrooms, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors, and mirrors
• Damp mop hard floors and auto scrub as needed
• Check all primary areas, lobbies, stairwells,and clean as required
• Vacuum carpeted areas as needed
• Remove all garbage from common areas
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident and personnel information
• Maintain a safe environment at all times (e.g. use of wet floor signs)
• Perform duties according to health and safety guidelines
• Report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately
• Responding to emergency cleanups as required

About you:

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferable in healthcare, hotel or commercial cleaning, is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to be able to manage heavy workload.
