Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a dedicated cleaner responsible for light cleaning duties that keep our healthcare and facility spaces clean and orderly. You will sanitize areas, restock supplies, and maintain a safe, confidential environment.

The role requires strong time management, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and the physical stamina to lift up to 20 pounds. Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare, hotel, or commercial cleaning is an asset.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare, hotel or commercial cleaning, is an asset.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform light cleaning duties to keep the establishment clean and orderly.
• Clean and disinfect areas and items including washrooms, operating rooms, beds, and mirrors.
• Strip, wash and make beds; collect and fold linen.
• Damp mop hard floors and perform auto scrubs as needed.
• Check primary areas such as lobbies, stairwells, elevators, and mezzanines and clean as needed.
• Vacuum carpeted areas and perform carpet extraction when required.
• Remove garbage from resident and public areas; maintain confidentiality.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards.
• Respond to emergency cleanups as required.
• Physical ability to perform all tasks, including lifting up to 20 pounds.

Job description

You will be responsible for performing light cleaning duties that maintain the establishment in a clean and orderly manner.

• Clean and disinfect areas and items such as surgical procedure areas, washrooms, operating room tables, stretchers, vents, interior windows, walls, glass, doors, and mirrors
• Strip, wash and make beds; collect and fold linen
• Damp mop hard floors and auto scrub as needed
• Check all primary areas, lobbies, stairwells, elevators/escalators, and mezzanines and clean as required
• Vacuum carpeted areas and complete carpet extraction as needed
• Remove all garbage from resident/patient rooms and common areas
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident and personnel information
• Maintain a safe environment at all times (e.g. use of wet floor signs)
• Perform duties according to health and safety guidelines
• Report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately
• Responding to emergency cleanups as required
