Direct Nursing Services Canada Ltd. provides compassionate, high-quality care to seniors in Vancouver, with a focus on dignity and respect. We are hiring a Housekeeper for Casa Mia in Vancouver, BC, on a full-time basis to maintain clean patient and resident areas.

The role offers a Monday–Friday style shift with a 4on/2off rotation, from 7:30am to 3:30pm, in a supportive team and modern facility that prioritizes resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience of 1–2 years
• Experience using an auto-scrubber
• Good communication and listening skills
• WHMIS training required
• Proof of full vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and clinical spaces in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment following safety standards, WHMIS guidelines, and facility policies.
• Support infection prevention efforts through appropriate cleaning practices, waste disposal, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, families, and staff.
• Promptly report any safety hazards, damages, or unusual situations observed during daily duties.

Location: Casa Mia – Vancouver, BC

Work Hours: 4on / 2 off – 7:30am-3:30pm.

About Casa Mia

Casa Mia offers 90 long term care beds, consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms. Many with expansive views.

This estate home features three stories with a grand dining area, ballroom, recreation areas and large outdoor patios on each floor. Casa Mia provides our residents with a heritage estate setting and modern best practice care.

Casa Mia works in partnership with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.

Responsibilities
