Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences in London, Ontario is actively seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to ensure residents live in clean, safe, and comfortable surroundings. You will support daily housekeeping services for resident suites and common areas, helping to create a home-like environment that reflects our care-focused culture.

Responsibilities include cleaning, disinfecting, waste disposal, and maintaining organized storage while adhering to health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Secondary School education or equivalent relevant experience is required.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a seniors’ residence or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules and procedures.

The Opportunity

As a Housekeeper at Chartwell, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll provide basic housekeeping services that support residents’ safety, comfort, and well-being. By keeping resident suites and common areas clean, safe, and well maintained, you’ll help create a place that truly feels like home and deliver the exceptional moments our residents value.

What You’ll Do

• Clean, dust, and disinfect resident suites, including bedrooms, bathrooms, furniture, and kitchenettes
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas, offices, hallways, and other shared spaces
• Collect and dispose of garbage and recycling safely and efficiently
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment and other housekeeping tools safely
• Replenish supplies and keep utility and storage rooms organized, clean, and safe
• Follow all health, safety, infection prevention, and cleaning protocols

What You’ll Bring
