Job summary

Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts is seeking a diligent custodian to support school facilities in Canmore. Responsibilities include door security, floor care, washroom hygiene, waste management, and stock maintenance to ensure a safe and clean environment.

The role requires punctuality, adherence to safety modules, and collaboration with the Custodian Supervisor and school staff. Snow and ice control are part of seasonal duties, with opportunities to contribute to a well-kept learning space.

Responsibilities

• Locking and unlocking doors during the day.
• Regular washroom cleaning.
• Turning on hallway and washroom lighting as required.
• Vacuuming carpeted areas of the school.
• Tidy-up/clean cafeteria and lunchroom.
• Collecting litter and disposing of garbage inside and around the premises.
• Replenishing dispensers and hand sanitizer stations.
• Ensuring exits and hallways are safe and clean.
• Clearing snow and ice from entrances/exits; spreading ice melter when needed.
• Inventorying cleaning supplies and informing supervisor of stock levels.
• Keeping custodial closets stocked with supplies.
• Collecting and drying rags and mop heads for weekly sanitation.
• Completing Occupational Health and Safety Modules on time.
• All other duties as assigned by Custodian Supervisor or administration.

• Collecting litter and disposing of garbage inside the building and around the premises.
• Replenishing dispensers and hand sanitizer stations.
• Ensuring all exits and hallways are maintained in a safe and clean state.
• Clearing snow and ice from entrances/exits when necessary. Spreading of ice melter on sidewalks when required.
• Inventories cleaning supplies and informs the Custodian Supervisor of stock levels.
• Keeping all custodial closets stocked with supplies (rags, mop heads, soaps, etc.).
• Collecting and drying, if necessary, all rags and mop heads for weekly sanitation.
• Completion of Occupational Health and Safety Modules on a timely basis.
• All other duties as assigned by the Custodian Supervisor or school administration.

A Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check (current within 3 months) will be required before the successful candidate may start in this position.
