Job Description

Cineplex Entertainment is recruiting for the position of Server at The Rec Room Brentwood. The Server will be responsible for delivering high levels of guest service, taking accurate orders, and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials. Responsibilities include providing friendly and professional service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience, proper setting of tables, clearing and cleaning duties, and complying with restaurant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from guests and relay to kitchen staff or bartender as applicable.
• Maintain familiarity with the composition of all menu items, including bar offerings.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with company standards, in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist with cleaning duties and maintain hygiene and safety in all designated areas.
• Set tables per policy; ensure items are clean, undamaged, and in good repair.
• Ensure storerooms are stocked with replacement cutlery, linen, or other needs.
• Manage billing: present the bill and process payments following established procedures.
• Provide excellent guest service, address complaints satisfactorily, and participate in drills and training as required.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required; perform any other duties as assigned.
• Follow Health, Food Safe and Liquor service guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be of the age of majority or older.
• Strong service experience and ability to engage guests.
• 1-3 years of restaurant service experience is an asset.
• Flexible, with solid interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail; professional appearance and manners.
• Positive work ethic and team attitude.

Working Conditions

• Manual dexterity to use a desktop computer and peripherals; standing and walking for extended periods.
• Overtime as required.
• May lift or move up to 20 lbs.
