Job summary

Alcan Motor Inn in Haines Junction, YT is hiring a Cleaner, rooms to join our hotel team. The position is permanent and full time with morning and weekend shifts. You will clean rooms, restock supplies, and ensure guest comfort.

Responsibilities include sweeping, dusting, making beds, restocking linens, cleaning fixtures, and handling guest requests. Training will be provided and fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Fluent English language required.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
• Dust furniture.
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
• Make beds and change sheets.
• Distribute clean towels and toiletries.
• Stock the linen closet.
• Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Disinfect operating rooms and other areas.
• Handle and report lost and found items.
• Respond to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items.
• Provide basic facility information.
• Pick up debris and empty trash cans.
• Clean windows, walls, and ceilings.
• Clean changing rooms and showers.
• Respond to customer complaints or concerns.
