Responsibilities

The Host(ess) is responsible for serving, welcoming and greeting guests at the restaurant, obtaining information from guests and ushering guests to seats ensuring a positive guest experience in the Council Oak Steaks & Seafood Restaurant.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greets guest at entrance to restaurant in a positive manner.
  • Obtains basic information from guest such as name, number in party, and seating preferences.
  • Ushers guests to seat location at a pace that is comfortable to the guests.
  • Promotes positive guest/employee relations.
  • Other assignments as directed.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year work experience in similar setting helpful.
  • Computer skills a plus
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in a loud environment.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
