Responsibilities

As the first point of contact, our Hosts set the tone for the guest experience with a warm, professional, and welcoming presence. They ensure smooth front-of-house operations by managing guest flow, maximizing seating efficiency, and communicating clearly with all team members. Through attention to detail and exceptional hospitality, Hosts leave a lasting impression on every guest.

The Day-to-Day
  • Create a warm and inviting atmosphere in person and over the phone, even during high-volume periods
  • Communicate effectively with Servers, Bartenders, and Managers to maintain optimal guest flow and seating rotation
  • Greet and escort guests to their tables while engaging in friendly, professional conversation
  • Accurately take and manage reservations both in person and over the phone
  • Ensure the front entrance, host stand, and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
  • Develop a strong understanding of the floor plan, including table numbers and section layouts, to seat guests efficiently
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required
Qualifications
  • Valid Smart Serve Certification Required
  • Proven prior experience in a similar position for at least 6 months
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
  • Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, restaurant experience considered an asset
  • Flexible availabilityincludingevenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
