Job summary

Naturally Pacific Resort in Campbell River, BC, is seeking a Carve Host to warmly greet guests, manage seating, and coordinate with servers to ensure exceptional service. You’ll be the first point of contact, set the tone, and help guests feel welcomed from arrival through departure.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of restaurant etiquette and health and safety regulations. Flexible availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar areas.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Previous experience as a Host is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome and seat guests upon arrival.
• Provide menus and announce server’s name.
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas and assist with extra attention needs.
• Manage reservations, wait times, and waiting lists accurately.
• Maintain a clean reception area and ensure adherence to OH&S standards.
• Monitor table distribution and coordinate seating options with servers.
• Answer incoming calls and address guest queries.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.

The Role

As a key member of our team the Carve Host is responsible for warmly greeting and directing guests as they arrive at the restaurant. As the first point of contact, the Host is responsible for making a lasting impression with our guests, and ensuring that they are greeted, checked in, and provided wait time information to the highest standard.

Your contributions to the team include

You will be eligible to receive wages starting from $18.25 to $20.00 per hour, this will be determined by your skill set, education and experience.
