Job summary

Nova Scotia Health (SSRH) in Bridgewater is seeking a full-time Hospitalist to join our program. The position follows a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule with 8:00 am to 5:00 pm shifts and on-call 2–3 nights per week, covering 15–18 patients of mixed acuity.

The hospital is a designated district trauma centre with medical, surgical, ICU, obstetrics and mental health beds. Join a friendly, collegial team at this dedicated regional facility on Nova Scotia’s South Shore.

Job Description

The South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH), in Bridgewater, is seeking a full-time physician for our Hospitalist program. Our program currently consists of fourHospitalist lines covering 15-18 patients of mixed acuity. This position is 7 days on, and 7 days off, with 8:00 am to 5:00 pm shifts, and call required 2 to 3 nights per week of work. Our site is close knit, providesample support and a rewarding work experience.

The setting for our program is the SSRH, which is a friendly and collegial workplace where everyone actually does know your name. SSRHis a primary and secondary care hospital. It is a designated district trauma centre with medical, surgical, intensive care,obstetricsand mental health in-patient beds. Located in Bridgewater, SSRH has 85 inpatient beds including medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, and mental health units. The modern regional hospital is the cornerstone of Bridgewater's residents and surrounding community members' quality of life.

• Permanent Full-Time
• 7 days on, and 7 days off, with 8:00 am to 5:00 pm shifts
• call required 2 to 3 nights per week

Remuneration

• $1576per day (8 hours) for the full line with additional remuneration for call
• There is an option to cover 1.5 lines at $2,364 per day
