Job summary

Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge, ON seeks a Shift Administrator for the Emergency Department to guide after-hours staffing and hospital-wide flow. You will work with Clinical Managers and ED leadership to proactively address staffing and patient flow challenges.

Required are a BScN (or in progress) with current registration, 10+ years nursing experience, and strong leadership. Meditech experience and budgeting familiarity are preferred. CMH offers HOOPP, benefits and DEI initiatives.

Qualifications

• BScN or in progress; current registration with the Ontario college is required.
• Minimum 10 years of recent nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Leadership experience in a healthcare environment is required.
• Meditech documentation experience is required.
• Experience with budgeting and staffing management is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for complex patient flow decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to the staffing office and hospital after regular hours.
• Collaborate with ED charge nurses and managers on staffing and patient flow.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
