Job summary

EllisDon Facilities Services at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital is seeking a licensed plumber to join our team, focusing on preventative and reactive plumbing maintenance for the hospital facility.

You will maintain, repair and replace fixtures and systems including sinks, showers, toilets, water coolers, AHUs, heating equipment, and medical facility utilities, while adhering to safety and department policies.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification for Plumber is mandatory.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must be physically able to perform the job.
• Demonstrated technical skills in plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and replace sinks, showers, toilets, water coolers, ice machines, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Maintain, repair and replace chilled water, hot water, and glycol coils in AHUs and heating equipment.
• Maintain, repair and replace patient care related plumbing equipment/fixtures such as sterilizers and macerators.
• Replace washers, faucets, and broken pipes.
• Perform preventative maintenance to fire suppression sprinkler systems and lawn sprinklers.
• Unplug sinks, toilets, roof drains and other drainage piping as needed.
• Repair and replace fixtures and fittings.
• Adhere to department policies, procedures, safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
