Job description

Lead with purpose. Support a team. Make a difference every single day.

Are you an RVT who thrives on helping teams reach their full potential? City Centre Animal Hospital is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technologist who’s passionate about team culture, operational excellence, and delivering standout client and patient care to join us as Hospital Co-Manager.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Hospital Co-Manager and Managing DVM to lead day-to-day operations and shape a thriving, high‑performing clinic environment. You’ll help us drive results, develop your team, and engage every client interaction with empathy and clarity.

At the core of this role are two of our six key competencies:

Engage You bring people together. Whether it’s building strong relationships, listening well, or making sure everyone feels heard, you help create a team that works well and supports one another in achieving their goals.

Drive You get things done. You’re focused, you follow through, and you hold yourself and others accountable, all while keeping things moving forward, even when it’s tough.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead with a balance of heart and strategy, developing a high‑performing team, delivering coaching, and fostering a positive culture.
  • Own hospital operations including payroll, inventory, policy compliance (CVO/Controlled Substances), and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Co‑Manager & Managing DVM to support staffing needs, from hiring and onboarding, to performance management and team building.
  • Ensure an exceptional client experience, resolving issues with compassion, professionalism and focused on solutions.
  • Use your problem‑solving and planning skills to manage costs, optimize revenue, and support long‑term success.
  • Lead through ambiguity with confidence, courage, and clarity, knowing when to adapt, when to push forward, and how to keep the team aligned through change.
  • Support with RVT duties on the floor as required.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:
  • Are energized by helping others succeed and believe in clear expectations and supportive feedback.
  • Enjoy rolling up your sleeves to streamline operations and problem‑solve on the fly.
  • Have a knack for balancing day‑to‑day logistics with big‑picture thinking.
  • Know how to create an inclusive, team‑first atmosphere where people feel heard and valued.
Bonus Points:
  • Previous experience in veterinary, dental, healthcare, or hospitality leadership.
  • Familiarity with tools like Dayforce, Microsoft Suite, or PIMS.
  • You love animals—and the people who love them even more.
