Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. in the Calgary, AB area is seeking an HDD Locator with at least 3 years of experience in directional drilling or locating to support fiber installation projects.

You will operate HDD Locator equipment and assist in building telecommunications networks on outdoor sites. This role requires the ability to work independently, strong knowledge of construction documents, a valid driver’s license, and readiness to undergo pre-employment drug & alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with directional drilling or locating.
• Previous telecommunications experience is an asset.
• Must have and maintain a clean and current driver’s license and abstract.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and security clearance process.

• Oversee equipment and ensure working condition and report any findings to lead hand
• Take active role in Ledcor’s health and safety program

Essential Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, interpret stakeholders’ needs, and identify solutions
• Must have and maintain a clean and current driver’s license and abstract
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and security clearance process
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
