A leading company is seeking a personal care worker to provide in-home support to elderly clients. The role requires administering personal care, assisting with hygiene, and preparing meals. Applicants should possess a secondary school certificate, CPR and First Aid certifications, and have experience in similar roles.

Qualifications

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with elderly clients preferred.
  • Ability to complete a criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Administer bedside and personal care and assist clients with bathing.
  • Feed or assist in feeding clients and prepare nutritious meals.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and help with regular exercise.

Wage:$36per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full time, 30 hours per week

Job Requirements

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work site environment: On site. Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Non-smoking.

Work setting: Rural area. Work in employer’s/client’s home

Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate

Experience and specialization: Target audience: Elderly

Security and safety: Criminal record check, Reference required

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods.

Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Job duties and responsibilities:

· Administer bedside and personal care

· Administer medications

· Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene

· Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

· Plan therapeutic diets and menus

· Provide personal care

· Prepare and serve nutritious meals
