Position: Home support worker

Location: Newmarket, ON L3Y 8P7

Employment type: Permanent, Full time (32 to 40 hours per week)

Salary: $21.00 per hour

Start Date: 2026-03-02

Responsibilities

• Administer medications
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Change non‑sterile dressings
• Feed or assist in feeding
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook
• Address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions

Requirements

• Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
• Languages: English, Tagalog
• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; weight handling up to 9 kg; physically demanding; repetitive tasks
• Personal suitability: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, patience, honesty
