Job summary

YYC Hearth in Calgary is seeking a home support worker to provide bedside and personal care, assist with medications, bathing, meals, and light housekeeping.

This permanent full-time role offers on-site work, 30 hours per week at $20 per hour, with benefits and a supportive team. Starts as soon as possible and opportunities for growth may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• 1 year to less than 2 years experience

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Feed or assist in feeding
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Supervise and care for children
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
