Job summary

Seabird Island Band is hiring a Home Support Cleaner to provide in-home housekeeping services in Agassiz, BC. You will work with the Home Support Supervisor to maintain clean, safe homes that support clients’ independence and well‑being.

The role emphasizes culturally safe, client‑centered care, with duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining confidentiality. It offers a consistent schedule, in-office location, and opportunities to grow within a supportive Indigenous community.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or home support preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety standards.
• Physically able to perform cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas in client homes.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wash walls, and sanitize surfaces.
• Complete laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and changing linens.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic living environment for clients.
• Follow established care plans, cleaning schedules, and supervisor direction.
• Monitor and report safety concerns or changes within client homes.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation as required.
• Protect client privacy and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, families, and team members.
• Travel between client homes to provide in-home support services.
• Support community initiatives and perform additional duties as required.

Term: Full-time, Term Contract with an end date of October 5th, 2027 (Possibility Extension.)
Location: Seabird Island Band Office, Agassiz, BC
Status: In Office

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm or 8:30 - 4:30 pm.
Salary: Starting from$26.29 an hour - Will vary depending on work experience.

About the Role:
