A leading health service provider is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their Home Health Team in Powell River, BC. The successful candidate will work with clients and their families to establish realistic goals and deliver essential care within an interprofessional team. This role requires a registered Occupational Therapist with demonstrated clinical experience and a valid BC Driver’s License. Join the team to help create healthy lives in healthy communities.

Qualifications

  • Current full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
  • Recent, related experience in Home Health clinical practice in Community.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with clients and families to establish therapy goals.
  • Assess service eligibility and facilitate care plan development.
  • Consult with system partners and incorporate evidence into practice.

Skills

Broad knowledge of Occupational Therapy theory and practice
Demonstrated ability to promote client-focused care
Effective communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as a team member
Knowledge of community resources for client support

Education

Current full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
