Job summary

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services seeks a compassionate Home Health Aide to support clients in the Home and Community Care Program. You will deliver home management, personal care and respite assistance in clients' homes, promoting independence and well-being.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and the Home Care Team, independent practice, and respect for cultural needs; requires relevant certificate and willingness to learn First Aid/CPR and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Home Health Aide certificate or Continuing Care Aide certificate is required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the Home Care Team.
• Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry and electronic charting systems.

The Home Health Aide will apply knowledge-based practices independently while working in collaboration with the client(s) and other home care professionals to promote independent living of our clients.

About the position:

The successful candidate will assist and provide services in the Home and Community Care Program for LLRIB community members. You will be working in the homes of our clients providing necessary home management, personal care & respite assistance.

Duties:

• Apply knowledge-based, Home Health Aide practice while working independently and in collaboration with the client and other health care professionals to promote independent living of clients;
• Must be able to provide home management, personal care & respite assistance to clients;
• Use skills & interventions to meet physical, social/cultural, emotional & spiritual needs to the clients;

Qualifications:

• Home Health Aide or Continuing Care Aide Certificate.
• Previous Home Care or Acute Care experience is an asset;
• Must be able to work independently & collaboratively with the Home Care Team;
• Must be self-directed & demonstrate organizational skills;
• Ability to speak or understand Cree is an asset;
• First Aid/CPR Training Certifications is an asset &/or willing to learn;
• Basic computer skills required, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, internet use, data entry and electronics charting systems.
• Must possess a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
