Central Alberta Co-op is hiring a Home Centre Manager on a permanent basis at our Home Centre in Innisfail, Alberta.

Position

Home Centre Manager

Full-time

40 hours/week. Benefit eligible after 3 months. If you are coming from out of province, please remember you need to have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability

Weekdays and weekends - mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development and performance management for the Innisfail Home Centre.
  • You will prepare, administer and be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH (Sales Per Employee Hours) of the Innisfail Home Centre.
  • You will ensure all staff adhere to Co-op standards regarding: merchandising, signage, staff appearance, housekeeping, Health & Safety and Loss Prevention.
  • You will assist and lead marketing efforts, adhere to advertising standards and create innovative marketing plans.
  • You will prepare the annual budget and ensure claims, invoices and other paperwork is done timely, accurately and meets policies and procedures.
  • You will keep familiar and up to date with current and new products in the market.
  • You will ensure all facilities and equipment meet the image checklist, management of assets and maintenance schedule.
  • You will perform other duties as required by the Division Manager.
Qualifications
  • You are a qualified candidate prepared to relocate to Innisfail, Alberta.
  • Grade 12 education; business related education would be an asset.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Excellent leadership skills and are skilled in coaching and training.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Some heavy lifting is required (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
