Job summary

Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is seeking a part-time Home Care Scheduling Clerk to coordinate and maintain scheduling for Home Care clients and staff at the Teulon Community Health Office.

Under supervision, you will collaborate with Resource Coordinators and Case Coordinators, contributing to culturally safe care and timely access in our health system. A Grade 12 education and familiarity with Procura are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 education is required.
  • Procura training is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of scheduling staff experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cultural diversity as it relates to clients and staff.
  • Recent Home Care experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate keyboarding and computer skills.
  • General understanding of office practices and procedures.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Physical and mental health to meet job demands.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in time-sensitive environments.
  • Pre-employment security check satisfactory.

Position Summary: The Home CareScheduling Clerk works under the supervision of the Clinical Team Manager –Home Care performing various office functions including coordinating andmaintaining scheduling for the Home Care clients and staff. The Home Care Scheduling Clerk collaborateswith the Home Care Resource Coordinators and Case Coordinators functioning asan integral part of the health care team.The position of Home Care Scheduling Clerk functions in a manner consistent with, andsupports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Interlake-Eastern RegionalHealth Authority.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 education required.
  • Preferencewill be given to Procura trained applicants.
  • Minimum1 year years scheduling staff, preferably in a unionized environment andutilizing electronic scheduling tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of culturaldiversity as it related to clients and staff.
  • Recent Home Care experience preferred.
  • Intermediate keyboarding and computer skills.
  • General understanding of office practices andprocedures and use of office equipment (computer, fax, etc.).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effectiveinterpersonal working relationships.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimumsupervision and as a team member.
  • Physical and mental health to meet the demands ofthe job.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a timesensitive environment, managing competing priorities.
  • Completesand maintains a satisfactory pre-employment security check.
  • Satisfactoryemployment record.
