We are looking for awesome, self-driven Personal Support Workers to work in Toronto and the surrounding GTA! The ideal candidate will be flexible with shift times and lengths as we have an increased need for PSWs in the community to accommodate multiple 1-2 hour visits.

Scheduling Requirements
  • available and willing to see multiple clients for 1-2 hours/each over the course of an 8-12 hour day
  • MUST be available Monday-Friday and one consistent weekend day (can be Saturday OR Sunday)
  • MUST be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule for the foreseeable future
  • Flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts an asset
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.
  • Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a person stay at home).
  • Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family's request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine).
  • Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
  • Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth.
  • Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.
  • Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description.
  • Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an asset
  • An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)
  • Negative TB Test completed within the last year
  • Personal Support Worker Certification or International nursing/ doctorate Certification
  • Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion
  • COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code
  • Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.
