Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking a senior Financial Planner to grow holistic planning capabilities for mass affluent and high-net-worth clients. You will deliver comprehensive financial plans and train Sun Life Advisors across multiple channels, balancing client needs with Sun Life’s growth objectives.

Ideal candidates have a CFP designation, 5+ years in financial planning, and strong presentation and relationship skills.

Qualifications

• CFP certification is mandatory.
• Professional designations such as TEP, CLU or CPA are assets.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial planning.
• Proficient with Sun Life Financial Distributors' planning tools, specifically Conquest.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Proven talent in facilitation and delivering presentations.
• Adept at building and maintaining professional relationships.
• Demonstrated capacity for self-direction and independent work.
• Mandarin proficiency (written and spoken) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design financial plans addressing client goals across risk management, retirement, tax and estate planning.
• Organize regional training for Sun Life Advisors on financial planning topics.
• Collaborate with ACM and ISD to provide insurance solutions.
• Stay up-to-date in financial planning, wealth management, tax and estate planning.
• Cultivate relationships with field leaders, Sun Life Advisors and senior leaders.
• Drive growth strategy by partnering with advisors as a trusted holistic-planning partner.
