ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Hockey Saskatchewan is the governing body for organized hockey in the province, representing over 53,000 players, coaches, officials, and volunteers across 180 Minor Hockey Associations. With a mission of Advancing Hockey Through Innovation, Engagement and Participation, the organization supports all levels of the game, from recreational to high performance, while promoting values of fun, safety, community, respect, inclusivity, and wellness. As a member of Hockey Canada, Hockey Saskatchewan plays a key role in shaping provincial policy, developing coaches and officials, and ensuring equitable opportunities for participants. The organization also administers championships, tournaments, and development programs, serving as a unifying voice for hockey in Saskatchewan.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Coordinator, Marketing will play an integral role in sponsorship activation, event support, and merchandise management. The successful candidate will be a relationship builder who can service partners while also contributing to the creative and operational needs of Hockey Saskatchewan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support sponsorship procurement and partnership activation.
  • Manage fulfillment of sponsor deliverables and activations.
  • Assist with planning and executing Hockey Saskatchewan events.
  • Support merchandise acquisition, sales, and inventory tracking.
  • Design digital and print materials for promotions and events.
  • Provide photography, video, and creative support.
  • Act as I.T. liaison for staff and program needs.
  • Social Media (X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn)
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in sponsorship, partnerships, event coordination, or business development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) considered a strong asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship building.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills (written skills an asset but not primary).
  • Experience in merchandising or e-commerce is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of best practices in event marketing and activation.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Cell phone and laptop provided by Hockey Saskatchewan.
  • Compensation range : $46,295 – $62,634
  • Pension plan with employer matching.
  • Three (3) weeks of vacation annually.
