Job summary

Your Independent Grocer, part of Loblaw Companies Limited, is seeking an Assistant Department Manager to lead store teams across Canada and deliver memorable shopping experiences. You’ll mentor colleagues, maintain merchandising and service standards, and contribute to financial objectives.

You’ll build inclusive, engaged teams, drive excellent service, and support a fast-paced retail environment with flexible hours and strong interpersonal skills. Retail experience is an asset.

Qualifications

  • Resourceful and courteous when resolving inquiries.
  • Willingness to learn new things and deliver positive customer service.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings and weekends.
  • Able to move up to 50 lbs and stay mobile during a shift.
  • Strong people leadership skills.

  • Outstanding teammate with good interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience in a retail setting is an asset.
