Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join the team in York. The position is full-time with core hours, offering a competitive hourly rate and the chance to contribute to a busy laboratory service.

Responsibilities include processing and embedding tissue, microtomy, and staining slides for microscopic examination, with support to pathologists in diagnostic reporting. NHS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent required.
• Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory.
• Experience with microtomy and staining techniques.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• NHS experience is required.
