Job summary

Tyson Foods in Ottawa is seeking a High Lift Operator for the B Shift (Monday-Thursday, 6:00PM-4:30AM). The role involves pulling down and putting away pallets using a hi-lift forklift, with a starting pay of $23.10 per hour. PPE is provided, and boot reimbursement is offered after probation.

The position requires safety compliance, ability to pass health screening, and standing for long periods. Team members work in cold storage and on the warehouse floor, rotating duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months forklift experience with a single employer within the last 3 years.
• No gaps in employment greater than 6 months within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Move product through the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner.
• Pick and place pallets accurately to Tyson guidelines.
• Remove plastic wrap on occasion prior to depositing pallets.
• Communicate effectively with leadership about difficulties or discrepancies.
• Follow Tyson safety and policy procedures.
• Complete annual Food Defense training and ensure product quality, authenticity, and legality procedures are followed.
