Job summary

Ledcor Highways in Alberta is hiring Heavy Equipment Technicians to maintain and repair plows, sanding trucks, loaders and related equipment. You’ll perform field service calls, CVIP inspections and follow Ledcor safety policies.

Role requires a Journeyperson or registered Apprentice in heavy equipment, with a valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment tests. Base pay is $50.75/h plus a $5/h premium in Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge and Valleyview, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Valid Driver’s License with a 3-year abstract.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, including sketches and diagrams.
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of plows, sanding trucks, loaders and heavy equipment.
• Conduct CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Attend field service calls as required.
• Follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures.
• Adhere to Ledcor safety policies and complete maintenance records.
