Job Summary

Windsor Salt’s Ojibway Mine in Windsor, Ontario, has immediate openings for temporary part-time (TPT) employees. Candidates with heavy equipment experience are a priority. These positions work on an on-call basis; you are expected to be available for all shifts, with the focus being weekend and holiday boat loading.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (988 large wheel CAT loader)
• Perform pre-start safety and equipment checks
• Refuel and lubricate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Fill tanks, open hoppers, unplug hoppers, shovel under the belt or hoppers, and sweep aisle ways
• Operate hand controls and complete shift paperwork as required
• Clearly communicate work and status updates with peers and supervisors
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free workplace at all times
• Other duties as assigned

• Experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial workplace is strongly preferred
