Qualifications

  • Experience with crushing and screening equipment is preferred.
  • Candidates with prior service of diesel, hydraulic, or farm equipment will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect equipment upon initial delivery for defects.
  • Inspect and diagnose faults or malfunctions.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

Skills

Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
Basic computer skills and familiarity with the MS Office Suite
Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly
Strong work ethic, reliability and dependability

Education

2+ years of experience performing service repairs
Valid driver’s license with clean Driver’s Abstract

We are looking for a highly organized, energetic individual to fill an immediate opening for a full-time Heavy Equipment Technician. Experience with crushing and screening equipment is preferred, but candidates with prior service of diesel, hydraulic, or farm equipment will also be considered.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect equipment upon initial delivery for defects
  • Inspect and diagnose faults or malfunctions
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand or power tools.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
  • Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
  • Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
  • Maintain condition of mobile service vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Other duties as required
  • Domestic travel mandatory
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
  • 2+ years of experience performing service repairs
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with the MS Office Suite
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly
  • Valid driver’s license with clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team with other tradespersons
  • Capability to work outside in all types of weather for on‑site customer service and inside a shop
  • Strong work ethic, reliability and dependability are key requirements for this position
