Job summary

Battlefield Equipment Rentals in Milton, ON is seeking a DZ Class Heavy Equipment Delivery Driver to join our field team. You will be the on-site link between the branch and customers, delivering equipment safely and professionally with a strong focus on service.

This full-time role requires a DZ license, experience with securing loads, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. You’ll coordinate with dispatch, complete logs, and help keep deliveries running smoothly for our customers.

Qualifications

• Delivery driving experience in construction or landscaping equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Full DZ class driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of site requirements.
• Experience tying down and securing loads safely.
• Team player able to work in a crew.
• Self-starter with good time management.
• Construction knowledge of equipment and building products.
• Endurance to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Experience with roll-off trucks.
• Experience with TRAC operations and Systematics (asset).
• Knowledge of CAT equipment (asset).

Responsibilities

• Deliver equipment safely and efficiently to customer job sites.
• Load, unload, tie down, and secure all equipment and products in accordance with safety standards and best practices.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally on job sites.
• Maintain ongoing communication with dispatch regarding schedules, delivery updates, and route changes.
• Update driver log books and required documentation accurately and consistently.
• Inspect loads and equipment during deliveries and report any damages or issues to the manager promptly.
• Prepare for next-day deliveries by fueling trucks, washing vehicles when required, and pre-loading equipment.
• Work collaboratively with the branch team to support daily operations and customer needs.
• Follow all workplace safety protocols and environmentally sound practices, making sure everyone stays safe.

What We're Looking For

• Delivery Driving Experience: Experience delivering construction or landscaping equipment to job sites.
• Customer Service Oriented: Excellent communication skills and a knack for making customers feel valued.
• DZ Class Driver’s License: Full DZ Class driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Safety Focused: Familiarity with safe driving practices and construction site. requirements.
• Experience tying down and securing various types of loads safely and effectively.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with a keen sense of time-management and effective organizational skills.
• Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with construction equipment and building products.
• Endurance: Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly up 50lbs. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Previous roll-off truck experience.
• Prior experience with both TRAC operation and Systematics would be considered an asset
• A technical understanding of CAT equipment would be considered an asset.
