Responsibilities
  • Operate 3-ton, 5-ton, 10-ton, and tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
  • Ensure timely and secure delivery of cargo
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle service, and repair status
  • Comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with shippers, managers, and customers
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent damage
  • Report incidents or accidents to the HD Truck Manager
  • Keep vehicles clean, organized, and in good working condition
  • Ensure delivery stores are properly locked and armed after drop-off
  • Use the Checkmate App to report at designated times
  • Follow health and safety protocols in warehouses and stores
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Goals and Expectations
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior
  • Keep GPS active throughout the shift
  • Carry and complete TDG forms when transporting Dangerous Goods
  • Use appropriate tires and chains based on route conditions
Qualifications Education and Experience
  • Valid Class Driveru2019s License with a clean driving abstract
  • TDG Certification
  • Experience driving in adverse weather conditions
  • Familiarity with BC and Alberta highways and trucking regulations
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel and drive long hours
  • Strong understanding of health and safety standards
  • Ability to lift items up to 50lbs and knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program
  • Organizational and multitasking skills
  • Problem-solving ability and adaptability
