Job summary

Crane Carrier (Canada) Limited is seeking an organized Parts & Administrative Assistant for our busy heavy truck repair facility. You will source heavy-duty truck parts, manage inventory, and handle daily administrative tasks to keep service technicians supplied and shop operations efficient.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in a parts counter or related role, proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn heavy-duty parts lookup systems.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a parts counter, automotive, or heavy equipment environment.
• Proficiency with computers, inventory software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Basic familiarity with commercial truck brands, air brake systems, diesel engine components, or hydraulic parts is a major asset.

Responsibilities

• Parts & Inventory Management: source and identify parts using OEM catalogs and VINs/ ESNs; support technicians and stage components; manage receiving, packing slips and shelving; track core returns and warranty parts.
• Administrative & Customer Support: data entry of POs and invoices; handle vendor and fleet communications; maintain filing systems and reconcile statements.
• General duties: assist management with daily administrative tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced shop environment.
